This makes Bet Angel easy to navigate around. It rates very highly in not just the way you access information but also the way it is presented. Once you open a market and select the ladder view you have all the necessary information in front of you to start trading. You have stake settings on each individual ladder and a section which will show your bets as they are getting matched. Two nice features. As you dig a bit deeper you do notice some of the features that are absent in the trader version.
You can only view one market at a time and it is not quite as customisable as one would like, especially as you become more familiar with trading. This might not present a problem to most people but it is useful to have on occasions. Automation is only available in the professional version as well as a few other features — which are mainly there to provide additional research and trading advice. Whether this is worth paying a larger fee for is up to you. Maybe you will be earning enough by that point that it pays for itself?
Either way, Bet Angel is incredibly easy to use, quick and a nicely designed piece of sports trading software. They have an active community on their forum discussing interesting ideas about trading and strategies. The software is designed for windows and therefore available, primarily, on windows computers. There is an article and Youtube video which talks about obtaining Bet Angel on Mac but that is something users would have to look into. They also have a version of the software that works in conjunction with Betdaq.
It is free to use but might not have the full functionality seen with the professional Betfair version. Aside from the few minor gripes about features and pricing, it is also a great piece of kit to improve your trading. If you want to check Bet Angel out click here. They offer a free day free trial. Bet Trader offers something slightly different in the form of a web-browser based sports trading software. Once you download BetTrader it places a shortcut on your home screen, once you click on this you have to go to the hidden icons section on the taskbar to launch the application in your browser.
There is a day free trial which is something we always like. The learning materials are once again brilliant. They provide a comprehensive free video manual that introduces you to the software and how to use its features. On top of this, there is a webinar archive which shows unedited examples of trading and another video series which focuses on trading techniques.
You have the market selector down the left-hand side of the page and once you click on your chosen market it opens in a new tab. In the above image, we are looking at an upcoming horse race. A real plus point of this Betfair software is its ease of use.
Access to all the features are in one place. You can choose which runners you want to view on the page as well as all the common features of sports trading software, including fill or kill, tick offset, graphs and more.
While you can view different sports and markets by opening several tabs there is no default setting to lock them in place. This would be down to the individual browser. Due to this as soon as you click into one screen the other tabs minimise. While in sports view it allows you to view all the markets from within one event. Here you can bet on the main win market in the ladder format and keep an eye on other markets via a drop-down menu.
While you may not use this for trading it provides an interesting way to research the best price points within an event. On the whole, it does lack the customisable interface of some of the market leaders which might affect you as you become more experienced. Overall BetTrader is another good piece of Betfair trading software.
It is one of the easiest to navigate around and would be great for beginners who are looking to trade casually. To check out BetTrader click here. Gruss Betting Assistant is another player in the sports trading software competition. It does, however, offer a free 30 day trial period which is great.
You can get a good feel for the software in that time. If you choose to use it on Betdaq it is free of charge but both versions of Gruss are only available on Windows computers. Gruss Betting Assistant is very easy to install and as soon as you launch the software you are presented with a busy screen showing a lot of different options. They are easy to access and navigate between, with more options available in the menu across the top. A nice feature is the ability to create tabs of different events and sports.
You can see in the above image we are viewing a horse race but are also monitoring a cricket match. All it takes is one click to move between multiple markets. It should be quite easy to get to grips with Gruss. There seems to be a lot of text on the screen which can be a bit intimidating at first.
However, once you put a bit of time into it does become clearer. There are free learning materials in the form of videos and blogs on their website. This provides a good introduction to the software but is not as extensive as some of the other Betfair trading options. A large focus of Gruss Betting Assistant seems to be the automation features.
If you are interested in this, it is possible to create Excel scripts which will run in the software and trade on your behalf. If you can look past that then you will get trading software that is affordable and fully functional for the intermediate to experienced trader. FairBot is the next Betfair trading software to throw its hat into the ring. It is easy to download and looks very similar to some of the other trading software.
They have a selection of price plans based on duration of subscription with the annual being the most cost-effective. This Betfair software is designed for windows so it is recommended to be used with Windows computers but there are options to run on Mac with compatibility programs. A decent text manual is accessible through the help section of the software and there is an introductory video on their website.
Apart from this, you are relying on other users to upload information to third party websites and youtube videos — of which there are a few. It uses a similar design to Gruss Betting Assistant and suffers some of the same problems. In addition to the generic Betfair charts, they also offer up there own Fairbot charts. These provide a different take on the information being put into the chosen market.
They are very technical, offering visual representations of things like simple moving average and triangular moving average. Whether this is beneficial to the average trader remains to be seen. If you want to have a go yourself there is a simulation mode so you can practice trading without depositing money. A nice feature for the more experienced users.
They do offer a day free trial but it requires you to register your details and they will send you an activation code via email. Once opened you get a very modern and organised display. It uses the grid format as standard but with one click the ladder display opens in a new window.
A useful feature of this is you can pin or unpin it, meaning you can open multiple markets and sports. This is handy if you are monitoring multiple markets before deciding which one you are going to trade. This is an estimation of how close your bets are to being matched. Aesthetically Cymatic stands as one of the front runners. It is clear and concise which improves usability. We are also impressed with the features, while not too much different from other Betfair software the details are there.
To get you started, Cymatic offer an 11 video Youtube series to show you the ropes. There is also a great user guide on their website with pictures and glossaries, this is great for defining tools that you might not have heard of.
Instead, they ask you to register for their forum and post queries there. That way you can view answers that other users have already posted as well as receive an answer from them and a dedicated Cymatic team.
Yet, it also makes sense to choose one that will make you more winnings. After all, it is a good idea to pay a bit more to earn more. Most of these services are cheaper if you pay for a year or so in advance. In a few cases, you can even get a lifetime license rather than paying regularly.
If you choose this option then be sure that all future updates are included. Having carried out a number of Betfair trading software reviews, my vote is for Geeks Toy. This software offers excellent value for money. No matter which tool you choose, be sure to keep a note of how much you win. By comparing this to the cost you can easily see the true value for money. The truth is that the majority are for use on Windows PCs only.
We have also seen that Trader Line is available on a mobile basis. It seems safe to assume that more Betfair mobile trading options will crop up in the future. Perhaps you would like a free trading software option. A free trial is all well and good but not everyone wants to pay the full price after this is over. There are a few different reasons why you might want to trade for free. For instance, you might be just starting out and be unsure whether you will earn enough each month. Alternatively, maybe you wonder whether you can dedicate enough time to it so that it is worth your while paying.
As we have seen above, nearly all of these Betfair trading software reviews are for paid products. However, the Bet Angel Basic packages stands out as being free. Naturally, you get more limited functions than with a paid option. However, starting to trade for free is a smart move. It is clear that there are now a good number of tools out there. If you are interested in Betfair trading then choosing the right tool is a solid start. However, if you like the sound of it then it is worth a try.
Most of these trading software options come with a free trial. This allows you to see whether it is something that you should be taking advantage of. The ongoing cost tends to be pretty low too. As long as you are earning enough to make it worthwhile then it will be a good investment.
You still need to do the work in learning trading strategies. Instead, you need to dedicate some time to learning about Betfair trading first. If you are happy to do this then this software will make it easier to put your plans into action. You can view a full list of approved Betfair software here. Unfortunately, it only scans for arbs on 10 sports, which is a little disappointing. You will find fewer arbs with RebelBetting than with BetBurger, largely because they do not cover as many sports. You can filter arbs by profit margin, bookmaker and type. The software also gives you an estimate of the arb reliability, which is essentially an indicator of the likelihood that one of the bookmakers will void your bet due to palpable error or similar.
RebelBetting also allows you to place your bets directly from their software, which acts as its own web browser. This keeps all of your betting activity separate from your web browsing, which prevents the bookmakers from tracking you with cookies. Overall, RebelBetting has put together an excellent sure betting software package and they offer it for free with the only restriction being a 0. It has a very clean, uncluttered interface, but is packed with all of the necessary features for serious sure betting.
Alternatively, check out my full RebelBetting review! RebelBetting have generously agreed to offer a 2 for 1 discount on their arbitrage and value betting software for readers of The Arb Academy! BetOnValue has been around for a couple of decades now and is still a major name in sports arbitrage betting.
My first impressions of BetOnValue were not great. The interface was very crowded and much of the display was occupied by bookmaker logos. Thankfully, I was able to turn off the logos and just leave the bookmaker names, but the software still seemed to load quite slowly.
I was pleasantly surprised by the number of sure bets available; many more than I had seen with the other arbitrage software. BetOnValue cover a large number of sports about 32 , so they are able to serve up many more arbitrage opportunities. Upon clicking on a potential arb, you are taken to another screen which summarises all of the bookmaker odds for that match. It is quite neatly displayed, and sortable for each outcome, which is very helpful for figuring out your backup bets.
I was quite impressed by this. Clicking on specific bookmaker odds brings up a small graph that gives you the history for those odds. You can get a feel for whether the odds are trending up, down, are volatile, or relatively flat. The more you explore the BetOnValue software, the more arbitrage betting features you realise it has. Nevertheless, I do like the way they present the odds for each event; it makes it easy to tell at a glance whether it is safe to go after a sure bet or not.
You could do worse than choose BetOnValue as your free arbitrage software. There is no limit on the length of their free trial and they have a large number of bookmakers and sports to choose from. However, their software loads quite slowly and the 20 minute delay on the arb feed means that you are missing out on plenty of arbitrage betting opportunities.
BetBurger was founded in , making it a relative newcomer to the sports arbitrage betting scene, but it has quickly established itself as a major competitor. Free arb bets are displayed in the left half of the screen, and once you click on an arb, the details will be displayed in the panel on the right half of the screen.
You can see an integrated arbitrage calculator, as well as all the possible arbitrage opportunities for that match. It will show all the various bookmaker combinations, sorted by highest profit margin by default. Rather than listing the various outcomes and the associated odds for each bookmaker, they try to list every possible combination of bookmakers that results in an arbitrage betting opportunity.
I find that this makes it difficult to know which order to place your bets in. BetBurger allows for filtering by bookmaker, match location good for defensive arbing , arb types, outcome types money line, asian handicap etc. Unfortunately, it doesn't save your filters unless you sign up for a free account, so I recommend you do that to save you from adjusting the filters every time you open their software. The major downside is the 15 minute delay on the arb feed which is quite long.
However, as long as you adjust your filters to show stable arbs that have been around for a few hours, you will still be able to find some gems in the rough. Personally, I don't really recommend the BetBurger service. The interface is quite poor and confusing, especially for beginners. Their customer service is also very poor. Despite these flaws, you will find that they are one of the most expensive services out there if you do end up upgrading to a premium subscription.
To get the most out of it, you really need to get an account so that you can customise and save your filters. Otherwise, the filters will be reset each time you load up the webpage. Betslayer was started in and has relatively quickly risen to become one of the top tier arbing software packages available. Looking at the pros and cons above, it is clear that Betslayer has gone with a different approach to the other software providers. They are offering close to a full version of their software, but for a period of 7 days only.
Opening up BetSlayer, you are greeted with a relatively clean interface. Much like BetBurger, the potential arbs are displayed along the left and the selected arb details displayed on the right. The thing that struck me the most using this software was how few arbs there were. This is not surprising when you consider that Betslayer only covers 28 bookmakers, however. They counteract this by having virtually no restrictions on the arbs available in their free version.
In the arb details panel, you can see the odds available at the various bookmakers by clicking on a dropdown menu. In the arb details panel, there is a built-in arbitrage betting calculator with the ability to round stakes, as well as save the bet into the Betslayer profit tracker, which can be used to track your progress over time. There is also the ability to enable live arbs, although this is recommended for experienced arbitrage bettors only.
The BetSlayer arbing software is pretty light on features on the whole, but otherwise a decent enough option. The 7 day limit will not appeal to those who plan on using the free software for a long time, but for those who are planning on upgrading eventually, 7 days is more than enough time to decide if you like it or not.
OddsMonkey is a site that focuses predominantly on matched betting rather than arbitrage betting, but their OddsMatcher tool can be used to find arbitrage opportunities, so I have included it here. The OddsMatcher was primarily developed to help punters interested in doing some matched betting taking advantage of sign up bonuses , but it can double as an arb hunting service as well.
When you open the OddsMatcher, you will see a nice user interface that clearly shows each arb on a new row with the match details, arb rating, bookmaker and corresponding exchange prices. However, in the OddsMatcher, the arb rating refers to how much of your stake will be returned. So on the surface, it seems like we have the ideal free arbitrage bet finder! Unlimited free trial period, no delay on the arb feed and no limit on the profit margin per arb with a clean, easy to understand interface to boot!
Well, the major downside of the OddsMatcher is that it includes a paltry 3 bookmakers only Coral, Betfred and Skybet , plus the exchanges. Just one! If you are thinking of purchasing an OddsMonkey subscription anyway, definitely give the free trial a go to make sure that it is right for you!
It has the full functionality of the premium version, just with a 0. I like the clean interface, the ease with which you can compare the bookmaker odds, the integrated arbitrage calculator and the extra features arb reliability indicator, bookmaker password encryption. The ability to arb in an entirely separate web browser with cookies deleted at the start and end of each session makes absolute sense to me from a defensive arbing standpoint. I recommend that you download it and give it a try.
If you are planning on arbing heavily, you really need to upgrade to the paid tools so that you can get the real time, live feed of arbitrage betting opportunities, as well as unrestricted access to the high profit margin arbs, which can really boost your profits.
